Welcome to the Mortgage Bankers Association of New York website!
We begin our sixty-seventh year poised to proactively take on new challenges. The goal is to make positive contributions to our valued members, and to the broader real estate community. The immediate past presidents (Hurley-Fletcher-Scesney) demonstrated admirable leadership in guiding the MBA of NY through recent rough economic times. They earned our recognition and a big Thank You!
During the coming year let us work together to prioritize membership goals as set forth in our mission statement. Let us seek to promote the overall welfare of our real estate financial industry. Let us provide individual member opportunities to improve via networking, by sharing innovative ideas and business tools, by offering cutting-edge training and education, and by disseminating timely and important information regarding legislative and regulatory issues. Only by working together can we provide the resources and support our members need and deserve in order to be competitive in an ever-evolving global community.
Our officers and committee members are working harder to improve, expand and implement our program to realize these goals. We are adding after-work presentations to the already popular breakfast and lunch educational program. Many of these events are being held in New York City, at Fordham University Lincoln Center Campus, NYU Shack Institute at Midtown, Baruch College, and the Mechanic's Institute 44th location, to name a few. Annually we hold a golf outing, Wine Gala, and holiday Winterfest celebration.
Some new initiatives that have been implemented in the recent months include:
